Description
Make loops and play them together. Four tracks (drums, bass, keys and a sampler), each with a column of loops you can start and stop on the beat. Play drums and samples on pads, and synths on a grid of notes in a key so nothing sounds wrong, or on a piano.
- Press play (or space). The first row starts: a beat and a bass line. Tap any loop to start it on the next bar; tap it again to stop it. ▶ on a row starts the whole row; M mutes a track.
- Pick an empty slot, press record (or enter), and play after the count-in. What you play loops and keeps layering until you press record again. Undo take removes the last recording.
- Or draw: the pattern panel shows the selected loop as a grid. Tap or drag to add notes, again to remove them.
- Pick a sound for a track above the pads or keys, or browse them under sound: basses, keys, leads, pads, plucks, and five drum kits. Turn the knobs from there to make it your own.
- Play from the pads, the scale grid or the piano on screen, from your computer keyboard (the letters are on the keys), or from a MIDI controller. Pick the key and scale above the notes.
- On the sampler track, open sound, then load audio, drop a file, or record from your microphone. It's chopped into slices on the pads automatically; drag the markers to adjust.
- Record jam saves everything you play as a WAV file. Your loops, sounds and samples stay in this browser for next time.
