Description
A chunky toy voice recorder. Record a few seconds of your voice and hear it back as a chipmunk, a giant, a robot, a crackly old radio or auto-tuned like a pop record, then save it as a WAV. A little sung demo voice is loaded from the start, so every key works before you record anything. It all happens in your browser: nothing is uploaded.
- Press Play (or Space) to hear the demo voice.
- Tap an effect key to hear it through that effect straight away: Normal, Chipmunk, Giant, Robot, Telephone, Echo, Cave, Alien, Radio, Reverse or Auto-tune. Keys 1 to 0 and T pick them too.
- Press the red Rec button (or R) and allow the microphone. Talk or sing, then press Rec again to stop. You get up to 20 seconds, and it plays back as soon as you stop.
- Keep tapping effect keys to hear your voice through each one. Tap the screen to play from any point, and turn on Loop to keep it going.
- Auto-tune snaps your voice to the notes of a key. The screen shows the key it picked and the notes it lands on, and you can pick another key. Hard jumps from note to note like a robot. Natural glides and keeps some of your wobble. Talking works too.
- Fine tune with the sliders: Pitch makes it higher or lower like a tape running fast or slow, Space adds echo and room, Grit roughs it up. Double-click a slider to reset it.
- Press Download to save what you hear as a WAV file.
Pitch detection is pitchy (MIT) with fft.js (MIT), both in the vendor folder with their licenses.
